NEW BRITAIN, Conn.—Metal Improvement Company (MIC) recently announced that it has added parylene coating capabilities at its E/M Coating Services facility in New Britain, Connecticut. Parylene is used as a moisture barrier and electrical insulation coating for printed circuit boards and as a biocompatible coating in medical device coatings.
Metal Improvement Company (www.metalimprovement.com), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Curtiss-Wright Corporation, provides coating services for “the most demanding requirements,” the company says. The company’s parylene coatings are reported to meet all current military and IPC specifications for conformal coatings, in addition to having USP Class VI approvals for medical applications.
